NJAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week #2 Selections Announced

- Dickson Named Rookie of the Week after Triple Jump mark -


Pitman, N.J. - The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its Week 2 NJAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week selections on Monday, December 12. Rams freshman Druscilla Dickson (Copiague, N.Y.) was named the Rookie of the Week for her performance last week.

Dickson becomes the first Farmingdale State athlete to ever claim an NJAC weekly track & field honor after traveling to South Huntington, NY to compete at the Bill Ward Invitational hosted by St. John's University. In the first meet of her collegiate career, she placed fifth in a field of 11 competitors in the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 11.13 meters. The performance by Dickson in the triple jump currently ranks as the fourth best women's NCAA Division III mark in the event recorded during the 2011-12 indoor season.
