Old Westbury, NY - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team improved to a perfect 4-0 today with wins over Purchase and Ramapo to win the Old Westbury Panther Invitational. The Rams defeated Purchase 3-0 in the first game of the day, before defeating Ramapo 3-0 in three close games to complete the tournament sweep. Sophomore middle blocker Cathryn McLean (Northport, NY/Northport) was named Tournament MVP and senior setter Falon Taddeo (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) picked up All-Tournament honors.

In game one, Farmingdale beat Purchase easily 30-12, 30-7, 30-7. McLean led the team with 10 kills and senior setter Megan Cranmer (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) finished with 17 assists.
Against Ramapo, senior outside hitter Gina Moscato (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) tallied 14 kills and nine digs for the Rams. McLean added five blocks and seven digs. Taddeo finished the game with 34 assists and eight digs.

Farmingdale travels to New Paltz, NY this weekend to participate in the New Paltz Hawk Invitational on Friday and Saturday. They will face New Paltz on Friday, September 15th at 4:00pm.
