Rams Defeat Rutgers-Newark 3-0

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team improved to 14-14 overall with a 3-0 (30-25, 30-24, 30-23) victory over Rutgers-Newark tonight in Farmingdale, N.Y. Sophomore Cathryn McLean (Northport, N.Y./Northport) finished with 14 kills and nine digs to lead the Rams.

Senior middle/outside hitter Amanda Sperling (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) had nine kills, 11 digs and five service aces. Senior setter Colleen Mackey (North Merrick, N.Y./Calhoun) had 24 assists.

Farmingdale State will travel to the St. Joseph's Invitational this Saturday, October 20th to face John Jay, Baruch and St. Joe's Brooklyn. The first game starts at 10:00 a.m.
