- Rams advance to Semifinals at Russell Sage on Saturday afternoon - 

Farmingdale State - 3, Mount Saint Vincent - 1

Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team defeated the College of Mount Saint Vincent (14-15) tonight in a Skyline Conference Quarterfinal match-up in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams took the first two games by scores of 30-26 and 30-22, before falling in game three 26-30. In game four, Farmingdale was down by five and fought back to take the fourth and deciding game 30-28.

Junior middle blocker Cathryn McLean (Northport, N.Y./Northport) finished with 20 kills and five blocks for the Rams. Senior outside/middle Amanda Sperling (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) registered 13 kills and 14 digs. Senior setter Colleen Mackey (Merrick, N.Y./Calhoun) had 32 assists.

Farmingdale now moves on to play in the Semifinals at Russell Sage College on Saturday, November 3rd. They will face second-seeded Polytechnic at 12 p.m. The winner of that match moves onto the Championship match at 3:00 p.m.
