Montclair State Earns Non-Conference Win Over Rams

Montclair State - 3, Farmingdale State - 0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-13)

Montclair, N.J. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team fell, 3-0, in a non-conference match at Montclair State this evening. The Red Hawks improved to 2-4 overall, while the Rams dropped to 0-8 on the year.

After winning the first set 25-12, Montclair State earned 25-16 and 25-13 wins for the straight set victory.

Farmingdale State was led by freshman outside Nicky Young (Queens, N.Y.) who had six kills, while junior outside Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) tallied 13 assists and four digs.

The Rams next will play in the Roadrunner Invitational hosted by Ramapo College on Friday, September 13th and Saturday, September 14th. On Friday, Farmingdale State will face Elmira at 6:00 p.m. and Centenary at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Rams take on Mt. Aloysius at 10:00 a.m. and Ramapo at noon.
