Women's Volleyball Records Fifth Straight Victory

Farmingdale State - 3, John Jay - 0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-19)

New York, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team played a non-conference road match at John Jay on Friday night and earned a 3-0 straight set victory for their fifth consecutive win.

Offensively, the Rams (11-6) were led by senior middle blocker Barbara Wright's (Farmingdale, N.Y.) game-high 12 kills. Freshman setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) totaled 10 kills, 14 assists and six digs, while sophomore setter Lauren Anne Strezenec (Merrick, N.Y.) had a game-high 15 assists. Junior middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) and senior outside Christina Hickey (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) tallied seven and five kills, respectively.

John Jay's (8-10) Rachel Eng (Germantown, MD) recorded a team-leading six kills in the loss.

FSC next will return to conference action when they face Mount Saint Mary (@ Purchase) on Saturday, October 15th at noon.
