Purchase, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team closed out the regular season by defeating Purchase, 3-0, and Mount Saint Vincent, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon. With the sweep, the Rams now hold a 10-1 conference record and have clinched the #1 seed for the upcoming Skyline Championship.

Against Purchase, the Rams won in three sets. Junior middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) and sophomore Nicole Brand (Levittown, N.Y.) each finished with five kills, while sophomore setter Lauren Anne Strezenec (Merrick, N.Y.) posted 11 assists, four aces and five digs.

In the Mount Saint Vincent match, Farmingdale won the first set 25-23 and fell in the second set 25-23, before winning the next two for the 3-1 victory. Cadle-Hinton finished with a team-high 12 kills, while freshman setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) had 11 kills and a team-high 22 assists. Junior libero Stephanie Etersque (Deer Park, N.Y.) posted a game-high 17 digs. As a team, the Rams posted 20 total blocks.

The Rams (17-7) will now have a First Round bye and will play in the Semifinal round on Thursday, November 2nd. Time and opponent have not been set.
