Farmingdale State - 3, Lehman - 0 (25-5, 25-18, 25-10)
Bronx, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team traveled to Lehman College on Tuesday night and earned a 3-0 non-conference victory. The Rams now stand at 3-2 on the year, while the Lightning dropped to 0-6.
The Rams earned a convincing 25-5 win in the first set and followed with 25-18 and 25-10 victories in the second and third sets, respectively.
Junior outside Annie Cosgrave (Brightwaters, N.Y.) paced Farmingdale State with game-highs in both kills (12) and digs (12), while adding two service aces. Sophomore middle blocker Kelsey Voiklis (Commack, N.Y.) tallied seven kills and senior middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) had five kills, five digs and two aces. Junior setter Lauren Anne Strezenec (Merrick, N.Y.) finished the evening with a game-high 27 assists in the victory.
Lehman was led by sophomore middle blocker Caitlin Vernon (Ozone Park, N.Y.) who totaled a team-leading five kills and sophomore defensive specialist Ariana Pradieu's (Yonkers, N.Y.) team-high 10 digs.
The Rams next will head to Misericordia University for a tri-match on Saturday, September 16th. Farmingdale State will square off against Cairn at noon and face host school Misericordia at 2:00 p.m.
