Rams Sweep St. Joe's-LI; Win Sixth Straight Match

Farmingdale State - 3, St. Joseph's-LI - 0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-18)

Patchogue, N.Y. - For the fourth straight match, the Farmingdale State women's volleyball team recorded a 3-0 shutout victory. The Rams traveled to St. Joseph's-LI for a Skyline Conference match on Thursday evening and won in straight sets.

FSC (13-7, 4-0) opened the night with a 25-22 win and followed with 25-21 and 25-18 victories to close out the sweep. Sophomore setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) tallied a match-high 13 kills, while hitting .323, to go along with 20 digs and two aces. Senior middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) totaled nine kills and two solo blocks and senior libero Stephanie Etersque (Deer Park, N.Y.) had a match-high three aces and 13 digs. Junior setter Lauren Anne Strezenec (Merrick, N.Y.) added 25 assists in the victory for Farmingdale State.

The Golden Eagles (6-10, 2-2) were led by senior middle Morgan Tiska's (East Quogue, N.Y.) 13 kills and a game-high 26 assists from senior setter Jessica Monteserrato (Bellmore, N.Y.).

FSC next travels to Purchase College for a Skyline Conference match on Saturday, October 14th at 10:00 a.m.
