Tiernan and Bonilla Lead Rams at C.W. Post Invite

Brookville, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country team ran on Saturday, September 17 at the C.W. Post Invitational on the Brookville campus course. With 12 men's and 14 women's teams, Division I Fordham claimed the top spot in both races.

Leading the Rams with a time of 26:54.17 and a 9th place finish was senior Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y.), followed by senior Russell Darress (Lynbrook, N.Y.) who ran 29:17.87 for a 51st place finish. Tiernan was the top Division III runner at the meet.

The mens team finished 9th out of 12 with 231 total points.

For the women, sophomore Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State with a time of 21:31.66 and a 39th place finish. Freshmen Druscilla Dickson (Copiague, N.Y.) and Megan Cabasino (Long Beach, N.Y.) finished second and third on the team, respectively, with times of 23:09.35 and 23:36.99.

The women cross country team finished 11th out of 14 teams.

The Rams will run Saturday, September 24 at the Wesleyan Invitational in Middletown, Connecticut.
