Sayville, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's
golf team posted a final round team-total of 292 for a two day
score of 590 and a 25-stroke victory at the Long Island
Intercollegiate Championship hosted by St. Joseph's College at
Island Hills Country Club. Division II Dowling College (615)
finished in second and St. Joseph's (639) placed third.
Freshman Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) entered today's final
round tied for the lead and posted a 71 for the second consecutive
day for a total of 142 (E) and medalist honors. Senior Adam Larkin
(Bellmore, N.Y.) carded a tournament low 3-under par 68 today and
was the runner up (145). Larkin, for the third time in his career,
tied his own school record with a round of 68.
Sophomore Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) shot rounds of 75
and 76 for a two-day total of 151 and a fourth place finish, while
senior Rich Kelly (75-78-153) took seventh place individually.
Junior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) followed an opening round 78
with a 77 this afternoon and finished tied for eighth.
The Rams next will travel to Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford,
N.Y. for a dual match against St. Joseph's on Friday, April
25th.
