Men's Outdoor Track & Field Has Three Entries In NCAA Division III Championships

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's outdoor track & field team has three entries for the 2017 NCAA Division III Championships. The national championships are being held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio on Thursday-Saturday, May 25-27.

Senior Jovanni Parkinson (Wyandanch, N.Y.) qualified for the 200m and is seeded fourth in his event. Parkinson registered his time at the ECAC Championships on May 17th, winning his event.

Junior Jyaire Ewa (Stamford, Conn.) is entered in the Hammer and ranked seventh. He posted a season and career-best mark of 190' 1" (57.95m) at the ECAC Championships on May 17th, winning his event and breaking his own school record.

The 4x400 meter relay ranks 14th with a time of 3:14.64. Sophomore Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.), junior Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.), sophomore Chad George (Levittown, N.Y.) and Parkinson posted the time at the ECAC Championships on May 17th.
